Assignment for Junior Blogs

Write two posts by next class and one post by Friday midnight. Choose one of the following (or all):

*  Upload or find a picture (or three) that conveys an abstract thought (like time).  Write a post        discussing the picture.   Don’t forget to source the picture.

* If you have a comment that furthers a conversation or discussion topic on your blog (that is not old), respond to the comment within your blog and then link to that individual’s blog.

* We’ve already done this one, but it can be an option.  Comment on another’s blog and then quote your comment in a post furthering the discussion concerning that blog.

*  Discuss what someone else in their blog has discussed and further the ideas.  Quote the person and then link to their blog.

Additionally, if you would like to nominate someone’s blog as the featured blog of the week, please respond in a comment to this post.

Featured Blog of the Week —

Check out Jennie’s blog.  I’ve been interested from the beginning as she posts thoughtful and at times thought provoking topics.  She is willing to step out and explore an issue.  Plus, her titles are just plain fun.

Rubric for Juniors 4 Week Check

See Moodle under writing for the rubric.  We will figure out how you will communicate to me which log to check tomorrow.

Check Them Out

Take a look at Albert’s  — his blogroll is amazing. (All added within the last week.) Now the question will be whether he uses the blog roll or not.  Look at Angela’s blog as the beginning examples of connective writing.

Laura has always written in a poetical style.  Check her poetry out.

Take a look at the format of Howard’s. He didn’t use the same presentation software as the rest of us.  It has a fun look.

Rubric for first blogs

Look over the rubric on ning and decide what you need to accomplish. At a minimum, you need one blog a week though in a couple of weeks that will be stepped up to two or more.

Take a look at Younghoon’s as an example for focus on a subject. He has a lot of work he still needs to accomplish to make this a blog that others might want to read, but he has a start.

Welcome

Hopefully, this page will become the central location for all blog connections. Sometimes different individuals will be asked to send me something to post on this main page.
